May 2014's Hottest Gaming Releases!

Header2014 is flying by and May looks set to be another mega month in the gaming world. From League of Legends All Star Championships to major game releases there’s something for everyone in a month that typically doesn’t have much going for its self apart from the odd bank holiday, ok so that’s quite good! But with a range of new games and exhibitions this month you’ll be stuck for choice.

Here at WeBuyGames we have reviewed the All-Star Championships and picked out several key games to look out for this month!

All StarLeague of Legends

Love League of Legends? Well May sees the return of the League of Legends All-Star event. Taking place from Thursday May 8 to Sunday May 11 in Paris the event will showcase some of the world’s best teams and pro-players.

The tournament has been divided into two separate events with The All-Star Invitational acting as the highlight of the four-day event. Regional winners of the NA LCS, EU LCS, LPL, GPL, and OGN Championships will battle it out for $50,000 and the title of All-Star Champions 2014.

The second event All Star Challenge will see two representatives from each region split into two mixed rosters. The two teams will compete on different game modes, voted for by the fans.

Streaming for both events will be accessible via https://www.twitch.tv/riotgames

SpidermanThe Amazing Spider-Man 2

Marvel’s favourite superhero is back in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. With more web slinging and scaling buildings the game offers an alternative take on events in the latest action packed Spider-Man movie.

Extra features allow you to play as the superhero’s alter-ego Peter Parker, roam and explore a more expansive Manhattan cityscape and perform new fast-paced, acrobatic combat moves which make fighting scenes more excitable and realistic.

Missions have been redesigned to allow gamers more choice. Instead of linear missions, users can now choose how they approach a certain mission. For instance it’s now up to users to decide whether they take a stealthy, silent approach or take on enemies with all webs blazing!

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is now available on Xbox 360, PS3, PS4, Nintendo Wii, Wii U and 3DS.

MarioMario Golf: World Tour

Everybody loves Mario! And he’s back alongside a cast of characters in the latest edition of the Mario Golf series. Combining standalone sport games with the famous Mushroom Kingdom you don’t need to be a golf enthusiast to enjoy this comical game.

You’ll be able to tee off on a number of new courses and compete in a range of tournaments which will see you head underwater and even on top of a volcano for a round of golf, only in Mushroom Kingdom eh?

New game play features allow players to control each shot with slice and backspin adding a realistic feel to the game. Mario Golf: World Tour is now available exclusively for Nintendo 3DS.

It’s up to you to guide B.J. Blazkowicz through waves of Nazi extremists and a variety of battles designed to test gamers. With a range of weapons to use throughout and puzzles to solve Wolfenstein: The New Order oozes class and tradition.
